I Don't Want to Make Him Smile!
I'm going to be honest with you...it's Monday and I don't want to make my husband smile! I just don't feel like it today. I don't like him. We got into a big argument yesterday and the irony in this is, I can't come before you ladies and tell you to do something I'm not doing...so this post is a little difficult for me. #hatehypocrites
Honestly, the only reason why I'm even considering thinking of ways to make him smile is because I have to make this post! I wouldn't be doing it any other way and right in the midst of me being angry...it happened. The check happened! The correction. The still small voice that I wait for...
"When you make HIM smile, you're making him smile."🤔
That hit me like a ton of bricks. Wives, if for any reason you have some issues with your husband or just not feeling each other at ALL right now...do it unto Him. ☝️
So today, I'm sowing into my marriage to make HIM smile! Here's some suggestions below that I'm doing and you can join too.
You can sow:
❤️WORDS by offering your husband praise (I wrote messages on note cards)
💛ACTIONS by cooking his favorite meal (lasagna it is!)
💚TIME by getting back to reading our daily devotionals together (listening to worship music now to get my heart together.) 💙BETTER ATTITUDES by walking in love. Regardless of who's fault or who even started it, you overcome evil with good not the other way around. Romans 12:21 💜GIFTS OF BLESSING by getting his car washed or detailed. A gift during bad times can help lighten things. "A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath" (Proverbs 21:14). (going to the cars washed today and put my little notes in places)
Even as I'm typing this, I'm getting excited to sow because now I see that not just with me being angry, but in ALL my ways, actions, and responses toward my husband should be making God smile, since it IS the same as making my husband SMILE. Proverbs 3:6
When you're upset with your husband, what ways do you make him smile?😀
